A Doctoral Research Scholar at the University of Bath School of Management has been awarded a corporate scholarship worth £60,000 over three years by Axco Insurance Information Services, based in the City of London.

The School of Management has welcomed its new intake of BSc and MSc students for 2011 with a series of induction activities and events. The annual Big Team Challenge ran for a third year, and students also got to enjoy the cultural World Café Event as well as undergraduate and postgraduate evening drinks receptions.

23 August 2011: Impressive National Student Survey results for the School of Management
The most recent National Student Survey (NSS), published on August 17th, has shown that the overall satisfaction level of University of Bath students is now higher than ever before, having increased by 5% from 86% in 2010 to 91% in 2011. This is eight per cent higher than the UK national average of 83% and puts Bath sixth in the national table in terms of student satisfaction.

The University of Bath School of Management entered two crews of students and alumni from the Bath MBA to compete in the recent 20th Cranfield MBA Regatta, which took place over the weekend of 22nd- 24th July on the Solent.

A group of final year BSc in Business Administration students, working on their Final Year Project, have had their findings published in a leading academic journal. The Final Year Project is an integral part of the BSc in Business Administration degree and holds the equivalent status of a dissertation.

Dr Jens Roehrich, Lecturer in Operations and Supply Management, has been named the winner of the 2010 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award in the Operations and Production Management category for his research, “The Dynamics of Inter-organisational Governance: Contractual and Relational Mechanisms in Public-Private Supply Arrangements”.
27 January 2011: School of Management receives art donation
The School of Management has received an anonymous donation of eight lithographies by German artist Lutz Labes. The lithographies are displayed in the School’s classrooms on the third floor of 8W. The classrooms have recently been renovated to incorporate latest technologies for presentation and interactive learning; the artworks now contribute to an atmosphere of creativity and reflection.
