School of Management launches new dual degree with Florida’s Chapman Graduate School of Business
By joining Florida’s prestigious network of partner schools, graduates of the Bath MBA will have the opportunity to spend 8-9 months at the Chapman Graduate School of Business in Florida studying for a Master's in International Business (MIB), complete with possible work placement and work permit.
The dual degree programme will provide Bath MBA graduates with a number of advantages including exposure to a different culture and business environment for 8-9 months and access to a broader network of business contacts and potential employers.
The Chapman Graduate School has an impressive network of 30 partner schools in Latin America, Europe and Asia who also take part in the dual degree programme.
Jerry Haar, Associate Dean and Professor of Management & International Business, visited the School of Management on 21 and 22 February to officially mark the launch of this new collaboration.
While on campus, Jerry gave a presentation to the MBA students and discussed other possible collaborations with staff.
Professor Christine Harland, Director, International Relations, said of the visit:
“We were delighted to host a visit from Professor Jerry Haar of Florida International University. This is a strategic international relationship to us as it opens a number of possibilities for our students to gain exemptions from further qualifications and, in the longer term, for our staff and students to engage more closely with corporates and leading universities in Latin America. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with FIU in the future.”
