Farishta Hellali awarded a full scholarship on the MSc AMP

Farishta Hellali, a student from Afghanistan, has begun her studies on the MSc in Advanced Management Practice after being awarded a full scholarship to study one of the School of Management’s Masters programmes.

The scholarship was announced last year and was awarded from the Vice-Chancellor’s Strategic Endowment Fund, created from gifts from the University's alumni and friends.

The idea for this scholarship came about after Teaching Fellow Ian Crawford visited Kabul and talked to undergraduates and the British Council about forging links with an Afghan university.

Ian said:

“This scholarship has provided an opportunity for an Afghan student, selected from any Afghan university, to study an MSc at a world-class management school. When selecting the recipient, we were looking for an outstanding student who showed a desire to return to Afghanistan after their studies to help with the development of the country. We’re very pleased to welcome Farishta to Bath and to the University.”
