MBA and MSc students celebrate end of semester at the Roman Baths
To mark the end of the semester, students of the Bath MBA and MSc programmes celebrated together on Tuesday 24th April in the beautiful setting of the city’s Roman Baths.
The students were joined by members of faculty and staff and enjoyed wine and canapés next to the famous spa waters. Dean of the School, Professor Richard Elliott, gave a short speech congratulating the students and reflecting on the year so far. Global Residency Scholarship Award Certificates were presented to 21 students, who will be going on the Global Residencies next year to France, Russia and China.

“Our annual Roman Baths Reception is a great way to celebrate the year so far. A wonderful evening was had by students and staff in this splendid setting. “

The Bath MBA is a post-experience degree designed for people with a minimum of three years’ work experience. It looks beyond business processes and techniques to emphasise self-awareness, intuition, cross-cultural sensitivity and entrepreneurship skills as well as a socially responsible and ethical approach to business and management.

The centrality of research to teaching is an essential feature of all our programmes. The School offers a full range of programmes from undergraduate to postgraduate up to PhD level and post-experience programmes including the world-ranked Bath MBA. The School also provides tailored executive development programmes for middle and senior management.
The School of Management has a faculty of around 90 teaching and research staff, including visiting academics, with a support team of around 70 managerial and administrative staff. Research income averages £2 million per annum. There are approximately 2,100 students in total comprising some 200 MBA students, 460 Master’s students, 210 full- and part-time research students, and over 1100 undergraduates following BSc degrees. The School also runs joint undergraduate programmes with Departments in the Faculties of Engineering and Design, Science and Humanities and Social Sciences.
