MBA and MSc graduates celebrate Graduation in Bath’s historic Queen Square

MSc MBA Prize Giving December 2012Following their formal graduation award ceremony on 12th December 2012, Bath MBA and Masters graduates enjoyed mulled wine and canapés with family, friends and School of Management staff and alumni in the city’s elegant Queen Square.

The celebrations, held in a marquee in the historic square, included three formal prize-giving ceremonies to award high-achieving graduates from across the programmes with prizes sponsored by some of the School’s Corporate Partners and Alumni.

The ceremonies were hosted by Professor Michael Mayer, Associate Dean - Postgraduate Taught Students. He began proceedings by congratulating all the students on successfully completing their studies and wishing them well with their future careers.

After the presentations, the School’s Alumni and External Relations team; Diana Braddock, Joanna Aspin and Merwyn Manson, welcomed the graduates to the Alumni Network and invited them to take advantage of the many services now available to them.

The centrality of research to teaching is an essential feature of all our programmes. The School offers a full range of programmes from undergraduate to postgraduate up to PhD level and post-experience programmes including the world-ranked Bath MBA. The School of Management has a faculty of around 90 teaching and research staff, including visiting academics, with a support team of around 70 managerial and administrative staff. Research income averages £2 million per annum. There are approximately 2,100 students in total comprising some 200 MBA students, 460 Master’s students, 210 full- and part-time research students, and over 1100 undergraduates following BSc degrees. The School also runs joint undergraduate programmes with Departments in the Faculties of Engineering and Design, Science and Humanities and Social Sciences.
