No. 1 for Student Satisfaction in Business Studies

National  Student Survey

The 2013 National Student Survey (NSS) results have been published today (Tuesday 13 August) and see the University of Bath School of Management ranked number one for Business Studies in terms of student satisfaction in the UK; achieving an impressive rating of 98 per cent in the influential survey.

Professor Veronica Hope Hailey, Dean of the School of Management, said: "Going to university should be a significant, rewarding and life changing experience. Here in the School of Management, at the University of Bath, academic and professional staff work together to ensure that every young person coming through our doors has a brilliant time, attains the necessary foundations for a successful career but also leaves with a sense of responsibility for the well-being of others in society. It's that combination that makes our graduates so sought after in the job market."

The annual survey also put the University of Bath in first place for student satisfaction in the UK, in a national table of over 130 universities (excluding small and specialist higher education institutions). The University achieved an overall satisfaction rate of 94 per cent, 9 points above the UK national average of 85 per cent.

The National Student Survey (NSS) is a national survey that gathers opinions from mostly final year undergraduates on the quality of their courses. The survey asks current undergraduates to provide honest feedback on what it has been like to study their course at their institution.
