The Times Good University Guide 2014

The Times Good University Guide 2014 published in The Sunday Times this month sees the University of Bath School of Management achieving an overall position of 1st for Accounting and Finance and 1st for student satisfaction in Business Studies. The School has also ranked 2nd in Business Studies overall, with Oxford taking 1st place.

The individual subject tables were based on four indicators: research quality, entry standards, graduate prospects and student satisfaction.

The Times and The Sunday Times have produced separate university guides since 1993 and 1998 respectively. However, this years league table marks a break with the past with The Sunday Times and The Times creating a combined Good University Guide.

The University of Bath has been ranked 7th overall and it has also been named best Campus University, 1st in the South West and as ‘having the most satisfied students in Britain’. The league table is calculated from criteria including student satisfaction, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications held, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, service and facilities spend, and university dropout rates.
