Professor Eric Arnould awarded Citation of Excellence 2013
Professor of Marketing, Eric Arnould, has been awarded a prestigious Emerald Management Reviews Citation of Excellence Award.
Each year, Emerald Management Reviews rewards authors of just 50 exceptional papers a Citation of Excellence Award. Emerald Management Reviews is a database of more than 300,000 article abstracts from the top 300 management publications; with approximately 15,000 article abstracts added to the database annually.
Eric received the award for his paper ‘How brand community practices create value’ (Journal of Marketing, Vol: 73, Issue: 5, 2009) which he co-authored alongside Hope Shau, University of Arizona and Albert M. Muñiz, Jr., DePaul University.
Being selected for a Citation of Excellence Award is an extraordinary accomplishment and is considered to be amongst the highest accolades that an author can achieve. The award winners are selected using a two-tier system based on citations and research impact.
Professor Eric Arnould said:
"Receiving this award is especially meaningful because it is awarded to only 50 papers out of 15000 published annually in management journals and thus it suggests that it has been truly impactful. In addition, because this research pioneered a new perspective on how value is co-created, the award reaffirms my belief that sometimes breaking the mould in our scholarship still is rewarded."
