School of Management strengthens links with India with launch of new scholarships

The School of Management is delighted to announce the launch of three new Indian scholarships to commemorate the University’s 50th anniversary.

The School will offer three full tuition fee scholarships for the 2017/18 academic year for Indian students residing in India.

MSc scholarships

The School is funding two full tuition fee MSc scholarships to students who have graduated from the University of Mumbai with a Bachelor’s degree within the last three years, or will be graduating in 2017. The University of Mumbai was established in 1857 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in India.

MBA scholarship

The School is also offering one full tuition fee scholarship to an Indian student to study the School’s world-ranked Bath MBA.

The scholarships will be officially launched by Dean Professor Veronica Hope Hailey at the School of Management’s 50th anniversary alumni and special guest receptions in Delhi on the 9th November and in Mumbai on the 11th November, 2016. These events will provide an important opportunity for the School to make new contacts and to develop links with industry and academia in India.

Assessment criteria for the MSc scholarships

The panel are looking for outstanding applications based on academic merit and ‘soft skills’. Details on how to apply will be on our website soon. The scholarships will be awarded in May 2017.

The scholarships cover tuition fees only. Accommodation, flights, living costs etc are not covered by the awards and candidates must cover these cost themselves.

The MBA scholarship is exclusively for students wishing to study the Bath MBA. In order to be eligible, students require a minimum of three years, relevant, post-graduate, management experience.

The Bath full-time MBA has risen to 6th in the UK and 58th globally in the Economist Which MBA Ranking 2016. It is also ranked 3rd in the UK in the Corporate Knights Better World MBA Ranking 2016.

Assessment criteria for the MBA scholarship

Self-funded Indian candidates (residing in India) will be considered for the MBA Scholarship on the strength of their completed Scholarship Application Form and supporting documentation. Full details can be found on our website.

The University of Mumbai was established in 1857 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in India. The University was accorded 5 star status in 2001 and ‘A’ grade status in 2012 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is ranked 58th in the Top Universities BRICS Ranking and 125th in its Asia University Ranking.  Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Founded of Pakistan, and Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation of India, are the most notable alumni of the University of Mumbai. The University has two postgraduate centres, 354 affiliated colleges and 36 departments.
