The Times and The Sunday Times have placed us in the UK's top three for Accounting and Finance and Business Studies in their Good University Guide for 2018.

We ranked second for Accounting and Finance, moving up from seventh, and remain third for Business Studies.

Subjects were judged on five factors: student satisfaction, teaching quality, research quality, entry standards and graduate prospects.

Our teaching quality for both Accounting and Finance and Business Studies received scores of over 80%.

Director of Studies for our BSc in Accounting and Finance, Dr Paul Baker, said:

'We are very pleased at the recent success in the rankings.

'This is important in our ability to continue to attract the best and the brightest of students.

'It should also be recognised that this excellent increase in our ranking is the product of everyone involved in the delivery of our courses, from the academics to the professional services staff to the management team.'

The Times and The Sunday Times also named us their Sports University of the Year for 2018. They described our facilities as 'among the best in Europe'.

The University of Bath remains the highest-ranked university in the South West at 12th in the UK.
