The British Academy of Management (BAM) external website gave Professor Russ Vince an Educational Practice Award this week for his teaching on the Bath MBA.

The BAM 2017 Awards Panel 'highly commended' Russ's MBA module, Leadership in Context. His different approach to teaching leadership and impact on students received special praise.

Russ was given his award at the annual BAM conference at the University of Warwick on 5 September.

Russ said:

'I am honoured to be recognised by the British Academy of Management Education Practice Award Panel for my approach to teaching leadership on the MBA.

'I was delighted that the Panel 'highly commended' my module and the ideas that inform it.

'Leadership in Context is designed to challenge MBA students to learn about the underlying emotions and politics of leadership behaviour and action.

'It is encouraging that such a non-traditional approach to teaching leadership is recognised and supported in this way.'

The Educational Practice Awards celebrate inspiring and impactful management education, and are chosen by a panel including Deans of Business and Management Schools.
