MSc Pre-Arrival Information

Whilst starting postgraduate studies is an exciting time, you may also be feeling slightly overwhelmed. In order to make your first few weeks go as smoothly as possible, please take the time to familiarise yourself with the information on these pages. They have been designed to help you during the few weeks leading up to your arrival, as well as during the first few weeks of the semester. Your induction timetable will outline sessions delivered by both the support services within the University and also the School of Management. The support services include enrolment & registration, library, health and welfare as well as the Students' Union – things to help you settle into University life. The School of Management provides a specific programme induction - an introduction to your Director of Studies and your classmates which will include team building and social events. When you have accepted your place on one of our MSc Programmes and paid your £250 deposit, you will be sent an email invitation to become friends with ‘Sally Lunn’ on Facebook. Sally Lunn is the MSc Team's alias and once you have become friends with Sally you can then request to join the Facebook Group 'The Bath SoM MSc Forum 2011/12'. The Bath SoM MSc Forum 2011/12 has been set up to help you to get to know other MSc students before arriving and during your time at the University as well as providing you with the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You will also receive updates from the MSc Team via the Facebook group. We hope you will also make use of this Facebook group whilst you are students at the University. If you do not have a Facebook profile or access to Facebook please do not worry as you can find all the information you need on our Pre-arrival website.
