CIMA Centre of Excellence at the University of Bath School of Management

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants’ (CIMA) Centre of Excellence at the University of Bath School of Management is an innovative new research centre that has been created by CIMA and the University of Bath. Its aim is to research the changing role of the finance function and the implications for best practice in the development of finance professionals so that the finance function maximises the value added to its organization. The scope of the Centre’s research is international, encompassing organizations in both the private and public sectors, and will involve rigorous applied research based on the input and participation of representatives from such organizations. Research is carried out by a dedicated team, which is led by the Centre’s director, Dr Philip Cooper.
