Requesting training
If you are a member of professional services (administrative departments):
- Complete the booking form
- If we approve you for training, we will then email you to confirm your place
If you are in a department, research group or centre:
Faculty Web Editors are responsible for assessing and approving training needs, handling requests and delivering the training:

Audience
- Contributors (required after completing the Web Awareness and Web Writing course)
Course outline
This course builds upon the principles and exercises used in the first course. Using practical demonstrations, we will show you how to carry out basic editing and how to improve existing web content. Adding images and creating new web pages will not be covered. See Editing in the CMS (intermediate).
- Find help and resources (tutorials, web support, site editors and faculty web editors)
- Open a page for editing
- Find their way around the CMS workspace
- Edit a page, including creating links
- Paste content from Word or other sources
- Publish content
- Use the BathPeople macro to add contact details
- Knowing what to refer to:
- Faculty Web Editors (for departments, research groups/centres) or
- Web Services (for professional services)
All the above will be taught using the Visual Identity and Web Standards.
Duration
- Two and a half hours, with a refreshment break
