Professor Chris Bowen delivered his inaugural lecture on Active Materials, Structures and Devices on Wednesday 20 June 2012.
The talk explored the potential applications of these materials, from sensors for hostile environments, bistable structures for harvesting energy, porous ferroelectrics for SONAR and novel biomaterials.
