Institution of Mechanical Engineers Careers Fair
On Thursday 23 February 2012, the Institution for Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) will be hosting two rail engineering-focused events on campus.
Careers Fair, 10am - 6pm, 2 East

During the day IMechE will hold their Rail Engineering Careers Fair in the heart of the Engineering building. This is the second time IMechE have brought their event to Bath, the only university chosen to host it.
The companies attending represent many of the leading employers of graduate mechanical, electrical, electronic and civil engineers in the rail industry in Britain. The event will provide the opportunity to discuss everything from placement opportunities to careers prospects.
The event will be opened by Professor Gary Hawley, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Design.

Inside Engineering lecture, 6.15pm, 3WN 2.1
On the same day, the University welcomes Alistair Dormer, Chief Executive Officer, Agility Trains (Hitachi) who will give a lecture on Hitachi's Super Express Train, which will operate on the Great Western Main Line after electrification in 2016.
The lecture will begin at 6.15pm and refreshments will be served afterwards, providing networking opportunities to discuss placements, recruitment and career prospects withe Hitachi and Agility Trains.
