Mechanical engineering researchers receive Donald Julius Groen Award
Dr Nigel Johnston, Professor Chris Bowen, Professor Patrick Keogh and Dr Derek Tilley along with D T Branson and F C Wang ,have been awarded the Donald Julius Groen Award by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ Mechatronics, Informatics and Control Group.
The Donald Julius Groen prize is awarded to the authors of outstanding papers or for outstanding achievements in the Group's sphere of activity, provided the papers or achievements are of a sufficiently high standard to warrant the award of an IMechE prize.
Our researchers received the award in recognition to the paper Piezoelectrically actuated hydraulic valve design for high bandwidth and flow performance, published in the 2011 Part I Journal Systems and Control Engineering.
