Seminar in New Delhi: Transition to Master's engineering courses

Masters transition seminar Sally Clift in India 2013-03-02 Dr Sally Clift, Director of Studies for MSc Mechanical Engineering Programmes in the Faculty of Engineering and Design, will deliver a seminar and question and answer session in New Delhi as part of her upcoming trip to India in March 2013.

The session, titled Managing the transition to MSc Engineering courses will take place on Saturday 2 March 2013, 2pm-4pm (venue to be confirmed). It is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students preparing to move from an Indian Engineering College environment to study for a Master’s degree in the UK.

One of the exciting aspects of going to study in another country is the opportunity to experience new ways of developing your knowledge and skills. Every academic system has its strengths, and they aren’t necessarily the same from one country to the next.

MSc courses in the UK are typically shorter in duration than other international destinations, which has an obvious effect on the intensity of the study environment. It is a considerable advantage to be able to work effectively right from the beginning.

The more Indian students know about the new study environment the better they are going to be able to take advantage of the new opportunities coming their way.
