Mechanical Engineering moves up to fourth in the new Complete University Guide
We are pleased to announce that the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of
Bath has been ranked fourth in the UK by the
Complete
University Guide 2014.
This is a rise of three places from last year, with our Mechanical Engineering programme
coming out on top for student satisfaction. Both our Aerospace and Manufacturing programmes also
fared well, holding their overall position of third from last year but seeing a significant
increase of ten points in graduate prospects, putting them first in this category, ahead of
Cambridge and Imperial.
Head of Department,
Professor Tony Miles is delighted with the
news and said:
‘We are extremely pleased with the department’s performance in the
Complete
University Guide 2014. We believe that this success is down to our commitment to high
quality teaching and research engagement, as well as a reflection on the department’s high calibre
students and graduates.’
The University of Bath, overall, has also moved up a place to ninth, maintaining a top ten position, out of 124 universities across the UK.
