Dr Steve Cayzer



Steve Cayzer is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Director of Studies for all MSc programmes within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and course tutor for the MSc Innovation and Technology Management programme, run jointly with the School of Management.

Steve teaches a range of courses in innovation, product development, project management and sustainability. He is particularly interested in sustainable development both from a strategic and operational view.

Steve works with the Easton Community Centre, the Centre for Sustainable Energy and the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC), and is a Director of Low Carbon Gordano, a community energy company.

His other research and teaching interests include agile software development, artificial intelligence and knowledge management.

Before joining the University of Bath Steve worked in IT, particularly web information management, artificial intelligence and sustainability. He has worked for (among others) HP Labs, the University of Bristol, and the University of the West of England (UWE).

Steve contributed to the University of Bath's MOOC titled "Make an impact: sustainability for professionals", run through the FutureLearn platform.
