Dr Andrew Lewis

MEng, PhD

Profile

Dr Andrew Lewis is a Research Fellow in the Powertrain Vehicle Research Centre. He is currently the main researcher on the Ultraboost 2 project and technical lead engineer (engine development) on the LowCAP project. Andrew is responsible for the engine-based experimental programs and project management.

Andrew obtained his Master's of Automotive Engineering in 2008 and obtained his PhD in Automotive Engineering in 2014, both at the University of Bath.

Research

Andrew’s research is divided between highly downsized gasoline engine technology and the fundamental effects of active thermal management systems on the internal heat transfer within diesel engines.
