Jens Roesner

Profile

Jens was appointed Technical Manager for the Centre for Power Transmission and Motion Control in 2013. He coordinates and manages the Centre's short courses for industry, works on industrial consultancy and assists in research projects in the field of fluid power and motion control. His work on hydraulic systems focuses on experiments and physical modelling.

Jens studied mechanical engineering at TU Darmstadt (Darmstadt, Germany) and University of Canterbury (Christchurch, New Zealand). After his studies, he worked at TU Darmstadt between 2003-2009 as a researcher in the fields of noise, reliability and efficiency of hydraulic systems.

Jens joined the University of Bath in 2009 where he held the role of DAAD Lector for Mechanical Engineering with German until 2013. The role was co-funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
