Jens Roesner

Profile

Jens Roesner is the DAAD Lector for Mechanical Engineering with German. Apart from teaching in this programme, he assists students in finding placements, projects and other exchanges in Germany. Within his research focus on hydraulic systems, he puts importance on both experiments and physical modelling.

Jens studied mechanical engineering at TU Darmstadt (Darmstadt, Germany) and University of Canterbury (Christchurch; New Zealand) before working at TU Darmstadt between 2003-2009 as a researcher in the fields of noise, reliability and efficiency of hydraulic systems.

Since September 2009, Jens has held the position of DAAD Lector for Mechanical Engineering with German at the University of Bath, which is co-funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Research

Jens has worked on the following research projects:

  • Power Demand of Load Adaptive Attenuation of Pressure Pulsation in Automotive Systems
  • Lastadaptive Pulsationsminderung in HydraulikschlÀuchen
  • Experimentelle Untersuchungen an einer Schaltdrossel
  • Influence of pressure control on the power output of a wave power plant
  • Patent-Nr.: DE 10 2008 007 566.3, SchwingungsfluiddÀmpfung- und/oder -federung, Pelz.
