Media Technology Research Centre

People learn from a young age to become very good at recognising faces. Visually realistic synthetic facial animations are extremely challenging to create, due to our sensitivity to facial form and movement. This makes facial animation an interesting research topic, and we tackle some of the issues by bringing together expertise from different fields, including computer vision, computer graphics and psychology.

The projects we have been working on, past and present, are linked to on the right.
