International students
International students who will be studying here for more than 6 months are eligible for free NHS health care.
New iPhone app
There is a free iPhone Medical Centre app.
Find it in the Apple store as 'UniBathHealth'.
You can use it to get information about the practice, health advice and first aid tips.
We advise you to register with a doctor (GP) while you are studying.
We have a Medical Centre on campus which offers a range of NHS services including:
- treatment of minor illnesses, medical conditions and minor injuries
- immunisation and vaccination service
- family planning and sexual health services
- counselling.
The Medical Centre also offers a travel clinic service for travel vaccinations.
How do I register?
The Medical Centre holds a two-week registration period at the beginning of Semester 1.
You will need to bring photographic identification, such as a passport or driving licence - student cards will not be accepted as a form of identification.
- you will also be able to register at the Medical Centre's stand at the Freshers' Fair
- you can still register after the initial two-week period by downloading a registration form.
Dental Centre
The Dental Centre is based in the Medical Centre and offers NHS services to patients. To join the practice you need to visit the centre.
Full-time students under the age of 19 do not have to pay for NHS dental treatment.
