The winners of the elevator pitch competition at last week’s national Student Enterpise’07 conference have been announced.
Students were given just two minutes to ‘pitch’ their ideas for a social enterprise in a special booth on campus.
After reviewing the pitches on video, judges have now made their decisions and awarded prize money from competition sponsors UnLtd accordingly.
The winners are:
Event sponsors Stubbs Rich also put up £500 prize money to be shared between Yang Wang and BJ Deng from Swansea University, for their project teaching a small community in Western China to export their farm produce to outside communities, and Nilima Ajaikumar from the University of Bath, to work with hospitals in India to get long term residents to create a bar that sells juice to visitors and patients.
