The Times' guide is widely held as authoritative within higher education. It measures eight aspects of a University’s performance: student satisfaction, research quality, entry standards, staff-student ratio, spend on facilities, performance of students, students’ careers prospects and proportion of students graduating.
A University of Bath spokesperson said: “We are pleased to be given a high ranking and we feel this is a reflection of the strength of the experience we give our students here and the way this prepares our students for success in their careers.”
The University was placed ninth by The Guardian in its league table, published in May.
