Death of Don Bletso

We regret to announce the death of Donald Bletso, who worked as a security officer at the University for 20 years.

Don Bletso was born in 1943 and came to the University as a security officer in 1989 following a career in the ambulance service. He was later promoted to Senior Security Officer a position he held until his retirement in early 2008.

Throughout his time at the University Don's previous experience in the ambulance service was put to good use when he regularly trained staff in first aid response.

A celebration of Don’s life will take place at Haycombe Crematorium, Bath at 1pm on Thursday 28 May 2009.

The service will be conducted by Angela Berners-Wilson, the University Chaplain.

Tomoko, Don’s wife, asks that no flowers are sent but if anyone wishes to make a donation, her wish is that it should go to Friends of Grosvenor Surgery, 26 Grosvenor Place, London Road, BA1 6BA - where Don was a patient.
