This year freshers will be arriving on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September, so this should not inconvenience staff as in previous years.
On the two arrivals days special traffic measures will be in place:
- An anti-clockwise one-way system will be in operation affecting the road to the rear of the Founder’s Sports Hall and the north access road.
- Freshers’ cars entering from Quarry Road will park in West car park and overflow parking will be available on the Medical Centre playing field. When they have collected their keys from 3WN they will go through the under-deck and turn left joining the one way system at the Founder’s Sport Hall
- Freshers’ cars entering from Norwood Avenue will park in East car park and overflow parking will be available on sports playing field behind the athletics stadium . When they have collected their keys from 3WN they will join the one way system at the Founder’s Sport Hall unless they are going to Norwood House where they will park to unload in the under-deck and then join the one way system to return to East car park.
- Freshers moving into Eastwood will use a one way system through Eastwood housing, between Solsbury Court and Woodland Court back into East car park.
Congestion will be at its worst along the north access road as students unload from cars outside residences. Once unloaded, drivers will be asked to park in the formal car parks.

Request to students and staff for next week: As you know, Bath is renowned for being a friendly campus so, if you see a new student looking lost on campus in the next few weeks, please take a minute to point them in the right direction – it could make a real difference to a potentially bewildering experience! (Do you remember your first days on campus and trying to make sense of the building numbers?!)
