Students: Adverse weather update - Please check web at 7.30am on Wednesday 13 January

Heavy snow is forecast in the Bath area this evening and during the night. It is therefore possible that the University will not be able to function as normal tomorrow.

A decision on whether the University campus will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday January 13) will be posted on the University website (internal, external & student homepages) and Twitter by 7.30am tomorrow.

Whilst the campus remains open, you should assume that all revision week activities are taking place as planned, with the exception of 8.15am activities which are likely to be rescheduled. If you have a class  scheduled for 8.15am this week, you should seek advice from your department or School.

Facilities on campus (such as the STV and catering/ retail outlets) are currently expecting to open at the normal time tomorrow but this will, of course, be dependant on the ability of staff to travel to the campus.

If it were necessary to close the campus, some facilities would still be available; a separate notice would be posted detailing these. In any event, the Library will remain open.

You should note that all semester 1 examinations, which start on 18 January, are expected to take place as planned.

The Emergency Management Team will continue to keep the position under review. We have reasonable supplies of salt and if it is realistic to do so, the University will of course remain open tomorrow as normal.
