Access routes onto campus are currently very limited. Brassknocker Hill is open but Bathwick Hill, Widcome Hill and North Road are all either impassable or have been closed. No buses are running to the University as a result.
The bus companies will start running buses as soon as Bathwick Hill opens. Although snow is currently falling on campus, the forecast is for temperatures to lift shortly and for no further snow later today. It is therefore expected that the University can be open as normal later today.
An update will be posted by 10am, at which point we hope to be able to ask staff to come into the University. The University’s severe weather helpline (a recorded message) will also be updated on 01225 383200.
Those who decide to come onto campus should take great care as roads and paths are slippery.
For those who are on campus, the Fresh shop will open at 9am. The Blues Café will open at 8am, the 4 West café at 9am and the Parade Bar at 10am. The Sports Training Village is 6am. The Library will be open, with self-service facilities available.
Revision classes scheduled for today are cancelled. All semester 1 examinations, which start on 18 January, are expected to take place as planned.
