Would you like to play a key role in the running and future development of one of the UK’s leading universities?

The University of Bath is looking for future Council Members to make a positive and enthusiastic contribution to the University’s governing body, and to promote the University’s interests in a local, national and international arena.

The University is keen to hear from those who are able to apply their professional skills and experience to the work of the Council.

There will be vacancies for external members to serve on Council from August 2010, for a three year term.

Chair of the Council, Peter Troughton said: “I have enjoyed every minute of my involvement with the University over the past five years.

“Not only have I been given a valuable and interesting insight into the business of the University, I have met a wide range of talented and engaging people and have had the opportunity to bring my experience and skills to a variety of activities and projects.

“It is a most rewarding experience which I highly recommend.”

The closing date for expressions of interest is Friday 12 February 2010.
