Bath festival discount and advance tickets available to all staff

University staff can buy tickets for two of the most anticipated events at the Bath International Music Festival in advance of the general availability and at a ten per cent discount from today (Friday 12 February).

These two highlights are the English National Ballet, who will be performing a new collaboration with Norwegian trumpeter Arve Henriksen in a programme featuring Gershwin, Stravinsky and Arvo Pärt with choreography by Kenneth MacMillan and Balanchine. Set and created for the glorious surroundings of Bath Abbey on Saturday 5 June 2010.

The next event is Scottish folk singer Eddi Reader, who brings her superb six piece band featuring her long term musical partner Boo Hewardine for a performance in the elegant surroundings of the Assembly Rooms on Thursday 3 June 2010.

The University is a member of Bath Futures, a grouping of businesses that supports the festivals and this concession is a benefit of that membership. The discount and early booking period will apply to the full International Music Festival brochure.

Staff can also still enjoy a 10 per cent discount on tickets for the Bath Literature Festival which runs from Saturday 27 February to Sunday 7 March 2010.
