Language day for sixth-formers

The Foreign Languages Centre at the University hosted an open day on campus for year 12 students who are studying French, Spanish or German on Wednesday 3 February.

Over 120 students from Bath and the surrounding areas took part in the day which included meeting with academic staff and University of Bath students.

The day started with a lecture on studying languages at the University, followed by two taster sessions in a language unknown to them. The day finished with a language class in French, Spanish or German.

The students had a very positive experience and after a feedback session with Student Ambassadors from European Studies & Modern Languages, some said that they would consider studying a foreign language at University as a result of the open day.

The University Staff were also praised for their professionalism and high standard of teaching.
