The University has agreed to allow any political party with a candidate for the parliamentary seat of Bath to canvas on campus tomorrow, Thursday 29 April 2010, between 11am and 3pm.
The parties are being invited to attend, bring literature and be available to answer questions from students and staff on the Parade, outside the Library. (Canvassing will not be allowed anywhere else on campus or at any other time.)
At the time of writing we have been advised that the following parties will be represented:
- Conservative
- Green
- Labour
- Liberal Democrat
The University hopes that the event will provide the opportunity for staff and students who are registered to vote within the Bath constituency to become better informed about the aims of each party.
