Police in Bath have advised women to always follow simple safety advice, particularly about walking alone at night

DI Andy Gwyther, investigating the incidents, said: "Our advice is that women, where possible, should not walk alone after dark.

"Always be alert, don't talk to strangers and never get into a stranger's car. If you are approached, call the police immediately."

Police contacted Bath's two universities to pass on the safety tips.
