The University of Bath will be hosting an international conference from 1-4 September which will bring together worldwide experts in sexual selection.
The conference entitiled ‘New directions in sexual selection research: Unifying behavioural and genomic approaches’, aims to highlight cutting-edge research in the study of sexual selection and to develop a conceptual framework for unifying behavioral and genomic based approaches.
Keynote speakers include:
- Professor Tim Birkhead (University of Sheffield)
- Professor Allen Moore (University of Exeter)
- Professory Goran Arnqvist (University of Uppsala)
- Dr Judith Mank (University of Oxford).
The conference, sponsored by the Genetics Society, has been organised by Dr Mark O’Connell of Ecological Research & Training and members of the Department of Biology & Biochemistry, including Dr Steve Dorus, Professor Tamas Szekely, Dr Rene van Dijk and Dr Nick Priest.
