Students invited to enterprise event

Did you disco in a box, milk a cow, taste a giant paella or take part in the 'mystery money' challenge? These mini businesses on campus were all organised to promote student enterprise at the University.

Now the Students' Union is inviting all business-minded students to come along to a networking reception on Thursday 14 October to celebrate the launch of this year's student enterprise activities.

The launch event will give undergraduates and postgraduates the chance to:

  • find out about this year's business plan competition from Luke Tregidgo, Chair of Banter, the University's student entrepreneurs society
  • Hear about the student shop competition that will run in November as part of Enterprise 10, from third year student Andrew Seed
  • Meet the student business success stories Arctic Farm and Take Note! Find out how they got started and enjoy free samples of Arctic Farm's frozen yogurt and take home free A4 pads from Take Note!
  • Get more information about SORTED enterprise training and the Bath Award

Siobain Hone, Student Enterprise Coordinator, said: "Local and national business mentors will be attending and everyone is invited to find out how we can help improve your business skills and make you more attractive to potential employers."

The event will take place on Thursday 14 October from 5.30pm to 7.30pm in 3WN2.1 Everyone is welcome so please email to book a place.
