The website has been created to help Tier 4 visa holders understand what the University is required to do in respect of monitoring students and reporting any relevant change to their circumstances to the UK Border Agency.

Creams used to treat eczema could make it worse

New research at the University of Bath suggests that using emollient creams to relieve the symptoms of eczema could actually make the condition worse. The researchers, from the University’s Department of Pharmacy & Pharmacology, have published a study in the British Journal of Dermatology showing that aqueous cream BP reduces the thickness of healthy skin over a period of four weeks, calling into question whether the cream should be used for treating eczema.

Research grant: How are research methods taught in pharmacy schools?

The Pharmacy Practice Research Trust (the PPRT) has awarded a grant to the University of Bath to investigate the role of the pharmacy undergraduate programme in the teaching of research methods, use and practice. The research will explore the teaching of research methods in schools of pharmacy throughout the UK.

Two academics made Visiting Professors of leading Chinese university

Steven Bull and Chris Frost were appointed as Visiting Professors at East China University of Science & Technology (ECUST) during a visit to discuss the Sino-British catalysis and molecular sensors (CASE) laboratory, a collaboration between ECUST and the Department of Chemistry on 15 September 2010.
