Academic to appear on BBC Breakfast

Dr Kate Woodthorpe, from the University’s Centre for Death & Society, within the Department of Social & Policy Science, is to appear on BBC Breakfast tomorrow(15 January ) morning at 8.50am and 9.50am.

Dr Woodthorpe will be discussing the issue of what people leave on graves.

Earlier this week Dr Woodthorpe was interviewed on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Three Counties radio.

Last year Dr Woodthorpe released ‘The Matter of Death’, a book she co-edited with Professor Jenny Hockey of the University of Sheffield and Dr Carol Komaromy from the Open University, where she talks about the politics of memorialisation in cemeteries.
