First year undergraduates – Want an excuse to talk about Facebook?

James Doodson, a PhD Researcher in the Department of Psychology, is looking to interview first year undergraduate students about how Facebook is used at university.

He said: “Many first year students will be spending a lot of the revision period using Facebook. Rather than feeling bad for procrastinating on Facebook, first years are invited to turn procrastination into something a bit more useful!”

If you take part, you will be invited to an informal, face-to-face chat lasting one hour. You will be asked to log-on, show and talk about your use of different parts of Facebook (eg status updates, pictures, groups, events, ‘likes’, etc).

Interviews will be taking place throughout the exam period and beyond – tea, coffee and snacks will be provided.

Why not give yourself a break from study for an hour and take part in a piece of interesting research?

To volunteer, or to find out more, please contact James: j.t.doodson@bath.ac.uk Interviews will be organised around your availability.
