The University of Bath is ranked tenth in the UK in the 2012 Complete University Guide league table.
We are ranked fifth in the UK for completion rates and ninth in the UK for graduate prospects.
Professor Glynis Breakwell, Vice-Chancellor, said: “Once again we have performed extremely well in the ‘graduate prospects’ and ’student completion’ aspects of the league table.
“Colleagues across campus work exceedingly hard to give our students the best chance of success in life. Our graduates are well-rounded, engaged individuals with excellent skills and knowledge – a view that is clearly shared by employers.”
Professor Bernie Morley, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching), said: “We are always looking for ways to enhance the student experience and I think this is reflected in the improvement in the student satisfaction aspect of this league table.
“In addition to ranking as one of the top universities for employability, our placement programmes give our graduates a real advantage with starting salaries over £4,000 higher than the average for UK graduates.”
The league table, published today, can be sorted on the following nine measures:
- Student satisfaction
- Research assessment
- Entry standards
- Staff student ratio
- Spending on academic services
- Facilities spending
- Good honours
- Graduate prospects
- Completion rates
Individual subject rankings have also been published in the guide. The subject rankings have been created using the following four measures: student satisfaction; research assessment; entry standards; graduate prospects.
