Last few places remaining on media training workshop

There are a limited number of places still available on a practical Media training course on 30 June.

The University of Bath’s Knowledge Transfer Account (KTA) has commissioned a series of workshops related to working with the media, the first of which was held on Tuesday 7 June. Further sessions are being held on 30 June and 6 September.

The day is mainly practical and provides the opportunity to learn how to handle television and radio interviews, both live and pre-recorded.

It is run by former ITV journalist Myra Lee, who now works part-time in the University’s press office as well as teaching journalism at the University of the West of England and running her own media-training company.

Dr Rob Branston, School of Management took part in the first workshop. He said: “It was an excellent day and I’d recommend it to others.”

Dr Lucy O’ Shea, Department of Economics, added: “The hands-on practical experience was excellent and extremely helpful. It was a very enjoyable day.”

Anyone interested in booking a place on the two further sessions on 30 June and 6 September should contact Will Marsh, Head of Corporate Communications.
