Students help to build supersonic car

Engineering students from the University have been working on a project to build a super-sonic car.
They have joined forces with the Western Vocational Lifelong Learning Network and the BLOODHOUND Project to support the progression of apprentices and vocational learners into higher level learning.
Lights, camera, action! KTA funds Media Training to give staff confidence in radio and television interviews

Seven academics found themselves in the media spotlight last week after undergoing a new hands-on training course.
The University’s Knowledge Transfer Account (KTA) has commissioned a series of workshops related to working with the media, the first of which was held on Tuesday 7 June. Further sessions will be held on 30 June and 6 September.

Film captures highlights of Alumni Reunion

Highlights from the University’s latest Alumni Reunion, which took place on Saturday 7 May 2011, have been made into a short film. The film, commissioned by the Alumni Relations Team and made by Bath company Suited & Booted, captures some of the best bits of the day, when nearly 300 alumni and friends of the University gathered on campus to celebrate the 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th or 45th anniversary of their graduation.

Nat West campus branch to close

Nat West customers may already be aware of the bank’s intention to close its branch on campus for the duration of the student vacation. However, we have now been informed that the Nat West is to close the branch permanently. Therefore, the bank’s last day of trading will be tomorrow, Friday 10 June 2011.
Ties strengthened between Bath and Argentine Chamber of Commerce
