Free information day for Psoriatic Arthritis patients

The Bath Institute for Rheumatic Diseases (BIRD) is hosting its annual Psoriatic Arthritis patient information day on Friday 21 October.

The event will take place in the lecture hall at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath from 10.15am to 4pm.

The day is aimed at patients diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA), their family and friends and will include a variety of talks from experts with the opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussions over a light lunch.

Speakers include Dr Will Tillett who will talk on work productivity in Psoriatic Arthritis, and Dr Ellie Korendowych who will explain medication options.

There will also be a session on understanding clinical assessment measures and an opportunity to hear from a patient’s perspective.

Teas, coffee and lunch will be provided and there will be a chance to talk to the specialists on PsA and meet other patients.

Professor Neil McHugh from BIRD said: “New treatments for Psoriatic Arthritis offer much hope for improving quality of life for patients suffering from this condition.”

BIRD is an independent registered charity which raises funds to support research and education into many aspects of bone and joint diseases.

Places are limited and need to be booked in advance. If you would like to know more about the information days or book a place then please contact Charlotte Cavill or Mandy Knight on 01225 448444 or
