Why do we need Social Science?

The Campaign for Social Science aims to raise the profile of social science in the public, media and Parliament, in the context of changes to the funding of teaching and research.

The University of Bath is hosting a Roadshow event on Thursday 17 November 2011, from noon till 2pm. A light lunch will be served in Wessex Restaurant at noon with presentations to follow at 12.30 in the Council Chamber.

The discussion will be opened by the Vice-Chancellor, Glynis Breakwell, with contributions from Jane Millar, Michael Harloe, and Stephen Anderson.

This is an opportunity to learn more about the Campaign and debate the future of social science.

This is a free event to which all are welcome, but please sign up by 4 November at http://cfssbath.eventbrite.com

For further information, please email Dr Maria Wells or ext 4882.
