The University is saddened to announce the death of Tianze Cai, an undergraduate in the School of Management.
Tianze‘s family has been informed and the Coroner’s Office is now investigating the circumstances of his death.
The University wishes to express its deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
We recognise the impact this will have on students and staff who knew Tianze and we are offering a range of support.
If you are a student, counselling support is available by emailing the Student Health & Wellbeing Team at listening@bath.ac.uk.
It may not be normal to seek support or go and talk to a stranger in the Chinese culture but we recommend that if you have been impacted by this event, or are feeling very stressed with upcoming exams, that you seek some help from the Health & Wellbeing Team. We also ask you please to support each other and please let a member of staff know if you are concerned about a friend or colleague.
