Western Power Distribution is currently testing one of the three high voltage supply cables which supply power to the campus.
While this work is being carried out there is a low risk of interruption to the University power supply. Please ensure you are familiar with your department’s contingency plans.
We have temporarily connected generators to four buildings – 1 South, 2 South, 3 South and 4 South – to reduce our power demand from the grid and provide backup to key buildings in the event of an interruption to our power supply.
Western Power estimates the works will be completed by 26th September.
