Prize for Jonathan Knight’s work on optical fibres

We are pleased to announce that Professor Jonathan Knight of the Department of Physics has been awarded the Institute of Physics Optics & Photonics Division Prize 2012. The award was made for “his work on Photonic Crystal Fibres and their application to Super-Continuum Light Sources” at Photon 12 – the biennial conference in Optics & Photonics, where he gave a plenary lecture.
