University welcomes international post-graduate scholars in evening reception

A torch lit Roman Baths was the dramatic venue for an evening reception for the University’s international post-graduate scholars.

More than 100 scholars from across the world received their scholarship certificates and celebrated in style.

The guests were welcomed by our Pro-Vice Chancellor (Internationalisation), Professor Colin Grant.

The University’s international scholarships fund is significant and includes the University of Bath International Scholarships Scheme, elite scholarships from Graduate Schools and individual schemes set up by university partners, alumni and corporate donors.

For the first time, we were able to welcome representatives of Banco Santander and the Windle Trust International as well as Mr Stuart Appleton to the event. A highlight for our scholars was the chance to meet the Mayor and Mayoress of Bath (Councillor Andrew Furse) and have a photograph taken.

For those looking to apply for a scholarship next year, applications will open in January.
