Crystallisation for manufacturing takes shape

Work is underway at the Bath Node of the newly-established EPSRC Centre for Innovation manufacturing in Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation (CMAC), led by Professor Chick Wilson (Department of Chemistry). The research team is using its expertise to optimise the manufacture of chemicals using a continuous process instead of the traditional batch method, benefiting the environment by saving energy and reducing waste.

BP establishes initial four year £4.5million UK undergraduate scholarship fund

Bath is one of only nine UK universities to have been selected to take part in BP’s new scholarship programme for talented science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) undergraduates. In its first year, the programme will provide ten scholarships for Bath students, each worth £5,000.
